Veena Gupta Lothe

Veena received her Juris Doctorate from Cornell University in 1993 and her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from West Virginia University in 1990, where she graduated as a University Honors Scholar and as a National Endowment for the Arts grant recipient. She has over thirty years of experience representing individuals and companies in immigration matters. In particular, she has assisted a variety of companies in their immigration matters, from one person start-ups to Fortune 50 multinationals. She is a sought after speaker on immigration law and policy.
Veena is an advocate for immigrants and refugees and is currently chair of ReEstablish Richmond, a non-profit that assists refugees in obtaining practical skills such as English language proficiency. She is the daughter of immigrants from India and an active volunteer with the Hindu Center of Virginia, a former board member of the Shady Grove YMCA, and spent many years volunteering in her kids’ schools. She has also worked professionally in Virginia politics, advising and training candidates as the Executive Director of Emerge Virginia.
In her spare time, Veena enjoys photography, sailing, kayaking, reading, travel, volunteering and spending time with her kids and family.
